Endorsee Update
Shapes with Gavin Filmer on drums went to Umea, Sweden in November to record their debut album with Eskil Lovstrom (Refused, Poison The Well, Hell Is For Heroes) and it will be out in Spring 2011 through Big Scary Monsters. They have a video with snippets of new material up on the new site at: www.weareshapes.com
Faithless with Andy Treacey on drums kicked off a string of European dates at the end of November in Rotterdam, then onto Luxembourg, Bournemouth, Cardiff and Nottingham.
Olly Betts, Baskey endorser and drummer with The Duke Spirit, is currently promoting the band's new E.P. and album, culminating in a support slot for the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's December UK tour. These dates are followed by a trip to Sri Lanka where the band will play the Electric Peacock Festival before jetting off to the US for a New Year's Eve show at the Roxy in LA.
Drumming clinician and educator Martin Ranscombe ('The Drum Guru') signed an endorsement deal with Premier Music International and RWS Drums & Percussion in October. Craig Buckley Managing Director of RWS Drums and Percussion, Premier’s UK distributors, commented; “We look forward to working with Martin on his forthcoming projects and are delighted that he chose Premier as his weapon of choice”
The Kooks with drummer Chris Prendergast played two dates in Russia during November in Moscow and St Petersburg and Pete Cater and his All Star Big Band played two very special tributes to Buddy Rich as part of the London Jazz Festival. Mark Earl played his first clinic opening the Steve White Drum Workshop in Eastbourne.
